If you add your business address location to your Google My Business listing you may need to verify with Google that this is actually your legitimate business location. To do this, Google will send you a 'post card' and your listing will remain on hold until you receive your post card and enter the 7 digit code that is sent to that business address.
I tested this from Darwin, NT Australia. Google's message suggests it normally takes 6 days, but in smaller Australian towns, things usually take longer ...
Google's support area recommends you wait at least 14 days before requesting a new post card but I decided to keep waiting as I didn't want to upset the system by generating a new code. I requested mine on 22 May and it didn't arrive until 13 June, so just over 3 weeks! So if you are in a smaller town and waiting for your post card, don't despair or complain too early... give it time, perhaps even 4 weeks to be safe - and then you could lodge a support query with them.
Things take longer in more remote towns ... 6 days? More like 3 weeks !
